The Position

The Manager, eCommerce is a key member of the Corporate Marketing Planning Team which will lead the FS.com website design, platform and content management system and the on-going development enhancements and operational maintenance of all elements of the site.  The successful candidate will be intimately involved in the development of other e-based tools for sales, e-mail marketing and e-commerce efforts with a view to maximizing conversion. He or she will manage agencies to develop and enhance the website and develop interactive tools for sales and marketing teams with a view to maximizing conversion.

This position is responsible for building and enhancing the brand: oversight of the Four Seasons web site; all interactive apps and tools; and the integration of all marketing communications efforts on line

Specific Responsibilities:

Work with agencies on the website to leverage key technology systems, infrastructure and personnel to improve the online capabilities and customer experience, including design work, CRM efforts, booking platforms, and multivariate website testing capabilities

Responsible for the fs.com website conversion performance. Working with analytics team, lead develop of effective reporting and evaluate site performance to continually improve e-commerce results for the corporate and hotel level sites

Manage global brand and hotel level eCommerce marketing efforts in conjunction with the Manager, Interactive Marketing to increase traffic and conversions

Lead the development of the e-marketing tools for use by hotels on global basis and implemented by multiple agencies providing continual improvement to increase conversion

Working with Marketing, IT and Operations responsible for development of e-based tools to enhance guest experience and recognition such as pre-arrival planning and mobile applications

Our successful candidate will have:

A results oriented senior level professional with 5 to 8 years of interactive, marketing and marketing communications management.  Experience in luxury, hotel or retail marketing management an asset

Demonstrated strategic capability in developing interactive marketing strategies that includes building effective web platforms and sites and deep understanding of technical requirements for effective interactive marketing

Highly analytical and able to apply ‘return on investment’ thinking to all decisions

Post-secondary degree in marketing, communications or business; MBA highly desirable

Technical skills and knowledge:

Strong project management skills, able to conceive and implement major interactive projects on time and on budget

Exceptional project management skills

Highly results oriented with experience increasing top line revenue and driving ROI

Keen attention to detail

Ability to work independently while still remaining an active member of the team

Working knowledge of latest software applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes)
